LAS VEGAS – Kaempfer Crowell’s Tom Amick, along with local attorneys Jay Brown and John Marchiano as well as Elizabeth Trosper were successful in working with the City of Henderson to adopt regulations allowing for the sale of recreational marijuana. The recent approval on September 5, 2017 will allow the five existing medical marijuana dispensaries in the City of Henderson to now sell recreational marijuana. The City of Henderson adopted a moratorium against the sale of retail marijuana in February, 2017. Along with the others, Tom Amick worked closely with staff and other city officials on the regulations that would allow for the retail sale of marijuana. With the abolishment of the moratorium, the dispensaries in the City of Henderson will now allow for the co-location of medical and recreational marijuana which is currently allowed at existing dispensaries in the City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas and unincorporated Clark County.
