LAS VEGAS — Jennifer Lazovich, Partner at Kaempfer Crowell, secured a major win for client McCormack Baron Salazar with unanimous approval from the Las Vegas City Council on July 16, 2025. The City Council approved the land-use entitlements for the redevelopment of the 95-acre Desert Pines Golf Club, clearing the way for one of the city’s most transformative housing projects.

The $500 million mixed-use redevelopment, led by developer McCormack Baron Salazar and nonprofit partner Urban Strategies Inc. under Desert Pines Master Development LLC, will bring over 1,500 new homes, 400 for sale and 1,100 rentals, with at least half of the rental units designated for affordable housing.

The plan includes sustainable features such as zero-scape landscaping, shaded walking trails, as well as a 10-acre recreational area, and an early education center. The project also includes affordable senior housing and other community-focused amenities. Jennifer Lazovich’s leadership was critical in navigating the complex entitlement process and securing this critical milestone for equitable growth in the Las Vegas Valley.
