Melissa was honored at the Women Inspiring Nevada Awards Ceremony held at AREA15 on September 24, 2026, and is featured in the September 2026 Women Inspiring Nevada issue of Las Vegas Weekly.
This prestigious recognition celebrates trailblazers across a wide range of industries who exemplify outstanding leadership, philanthropy, mentorship, and service to the community. Honorees are recognized not only for their professional accomplishments, but also for the impact they make in the lives of others and throughout Southern Nevada.
Melissa’s career reflects a remarkable commitment to leadership and public service. After beginning her legal career in the U.S. Air Force, where she ultimately retired as a Colonel, she went on to serve the Southern Nevada community as a Chief Deputy District Attorney and later as a Las Vegas Justice Court Judge for nearly 18 years, including serving as Chief Judge. Today, she brings that depth of experience and dedication to her litigation practice at Kaempfer Crowell while continuing to mentor the next generation of legal professionals.
Throughout her distinguished career, Melissa has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence, service, and leadership. Her recognition as a Women Inspiring Nevada honoree is a reflection of the positive influence she has had on the legal profession, the community, and the many individuals she has guided and supported throughout her career.
