CARSON CITY – Nevada law firm Kaempfer Crowell announced today Bob Crowell has announced he will seek re-election as Mayor of Carson City.
Mayor Bob Crowell announced his bid for re-election. He will be seeking his third term as Mayor of Carson City. “After some 30 years of effort, Nevada is finally on the brink of achieving economic diversification, particularly with the ‘brass ring’ handed to Northern Nevada by Tesla, Switch, Apple and others,” said Mayor Crowell during a breakfast meeting with minority business leaders.
Bob’s vision is a community where citizens of all ages, demographics and ethnic backgrounds can feel safe and be part of a greater whole, where differing ideologies and opinions are respected. Some of the projects currently in the works in Carson City are the $8.5 multi-purpose athletic center (MAC), which is almost complete, the $4 million animal shelter (which had a recent ground-breaking), a downtown makeover to be completed in 2016, and upgrades to other business corridors.
Bob is a shareholder with Kaempfer Crowell. Prior to being elected Mayor, he served eleven years as an elected trustee of the Carson City School Board and twice served as its president, served as a director of the Northern Nevada Development Authority and Chairman of the Board of the Carson City Chamber of Commerce. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Carson City, and is a board member of the Capital City Circles Initiative, an organization of business and religious leaders seeking to address poverty in Carson City. Bob is a life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, a member of that organization’s local Chapter 388, and a member of the Sons of American Revolution, American Legion and the Carson City Council of the Navy League where he served as charter president.
