Practice Highlights:

Anthony J. Celeste is a partner and primarily practices in the areas of Commercial Landlord/Tenant disputes, Litigation, Land Use and Zoning and Government Affairs.

Tony provides legal counsel to various businesses including commercial contract issues and land use and zoning matters. He also represents clients in lawsuits pertaining to these types of issues in Nevada’s state and federal courts.

Tony represents local and national developers, home builders and individuals on land use and zoning matters in Nevada. He regularly appears before the Clark County Board of County Commissioners; the Clark County Planning Commission; the City of Las Vegas City Council, the City of Las Vegas Planning Commission; the City of North Las Vegas City Council; the City of North Las Vegas Planning Commission; and the Nye County Board of County Commissioners on issues related to land use entitlements, development agreements, and related land use issues. Since 2006, Tony has appeared on numerous occasions at council, commission and board meetings representing clients and gaining approvals for developments of residential, mixed-use, commercial, and industrial uses.

Tony also represents national mall operators in regards to tenant disputes, evictions and collections. In addition to motion practice where Tony has secured favorable rulings on motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and motions for reconsideration, he has obtained a jury verdict in favor of a client’s commercial business regarding a breach of sales and services contract in Clark County District Court.

Community:

Tony is a member of the Clark County Bar Association. He is active in several community organizations and provides many hours of hours of pro bono legal services. In addition, Tony enjoys coaching his children in youth sports and volunteering at various Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church activities including the Harvest Festival and Walk-A-Thon. He enjoys working with his wife, Tina, a breast cancer survivor, in support of the American Red Cross. They are active blood donors and raise awareness in their community about how the donation of blood saves lives. Tony was a former member of the St. Thomas More Society, a charitable organization.

Accomplishments:

In law school, Tony was a member of the law review and served in 2002-03 as a notes editor for the Nevada Law Journal. Prior to joining the Firm, he had the distinct pleasure of clerking for the Honorable James C. Mahan, United States District Judge for the District of Nevada.
