Practice Highlights:

Jeff Garrett is an attorney in the Firm’s Litigation Department.  His practice focuses on civil rights actions filed in both federal and state courts, bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, and complex commercial and business litigation.  Prior to entering private practice, Jeff clerked in the federal courts for three years, serving as the staff law clerk for the Northern District of Illinois Bankruptcy Court, term law clerk for the Honorable Hilary Barnes in the District of Nevada, and term law clerk for the Honorable Timothy Barnes in the Northern District of Illinois Bankruptcy Court.

While in law school, Jeff served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Gloria M. Navarro in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada and in the City Attorney’s Office for the City of Las Vegas during the summer of 2020.  He was an articles editor for the Nevada Law Journal, founded the Federal Bar Association Student Organization and served as its first President, and founded a negotiation team that competed twice in the annual Tulane Professional Football Negotiation Competition.

Jeff is a member of the Federal Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, and serves on the American Bankruptcy Institute Veteran’s Task Force.
